Making cancer resources clear, accessible, and easier to navigate
Resource Library

A library you can trust. Reviewed by the people who lived it.

We're building a filterable, personally-reviewed library of cancer resources for young adults — by stage of treatment, age, location, and type of support. In the meantime, put your email below and we'll tell you the moment it's live.

A preview of what's in the library.

Each resource has a personal note from Natalia explaining why she recommends it and how to use it.

Blood Cancer United Co-Pay Assistance Program

Blood Cancer United · USA

Covers insurance co-pays, premiums, and select treatment costs for blood cancer patients. Grants up to $10,000/year depending on diagnosis.

Natalia's note

Used this personally. Application takes ~20 minutes; decisions in 1-2 weeks. They renew annually if funds remain.

The Samfund Grants

The Samfund · USA

Direct financial grants ($500–$4,000) to young adults 21–39 post-cancer-treatment to help rebuild financially: rent, student loans, fertility, mental health.

Natalia's note

YA-specific. Application windows are short — set a calendar reminder. No income verification for smaller grants.

Stupid Cancer Digital Community

Stupid Cancer · USA, Canada

Online peer community for 15-39 year olds with cancer. Weekly virtual meetups, type-specific channels, and a real team that responds to questions.

Natalia's note

The only YA cancer community that actually feels like people your age. Their CancerCon event is worth traveling for.

Cactus Connect Groups

Cactus Cancer Society · USA

Free, topic-based virtual support groups for young adults with cancer — from just-diagnosed to survivorship to grief. Led by trained facilitators.

Natalia's note

Smaller and more intimate than Stupid Cancer's. Great for introverts. The writing workshop group in particular is a gem.

First Descents Adventure Programs

First Descents · USA

Free weeklong outdoor adventures (rock climbing, kayaking, surfing) for young adults impacted by cancer. Transportation and lodging covered.

Natalia's note

The single most healing thing I have seen YA cancer patients do. Apply 6 months out — spots fill fast.

Education

Blood Cancer United Spanish Education Programs

Blood Cancer United · USA, Global

Full Blood Cancer United patient education translated into Spanish, plus bilingual patient navigators and Spanish-language community events.

Natalia's note

I volunteer with Laura Diaz on these programs. The patient navigators are the most underused resource in the entire blood cancer space.
